In December 2011, while pursuing her degree, Ms. MacIntyre began working as the sole administrative assistant in the Liberty University School of Aeronautics.  As administrative assistant, her duties included managing six departmental budgets totaling approximately $10 million, as well as initiating major departmental purchases, such as aircraft and flight simulators.  Additionally, Ms. MacIntyre prepared the school for annual Transportation Security Administration (TSA) inspections of approximately 400 U.S. and international student files, which included submitting and tracking Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) applications within the TSA.  In addition to these responsibilities, she oversaw the hiring process for all aeronautics staff and faculty, including managing internal human resources (HR) items such as staff hierarchies, international staff forms, and airport badge requests.  Ms. MacIntyre also assisted new students with the school application process through correspondence via email, phone, and guided tours of the School of Aeronautics.

In October 2014, Ms. MacIntyre was promoted to Executive Assistant to the Dean.  In this position, she continued to manage six departmental budgets and initiate and manage major purchases.  Additional responsibilities for Ms. MacIntyre included maintaining the dean’s schedule and travel plans, coordinating and conducting executive tours with industry professionals, and creating and presenting annual budget spreadsheets.  She remained the primary point of contact for all new hires within the school and created departmental organizational charts that were presented to the university’s HR office.  In addition to her administrative duties, Ms. MacIntyre was responsible for coordinating major departmental events, including commencement programs, student informational meetings, staff appreciation events, National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) banquets, catered events, and community events.  She also managed the departmental website and collaborated with the university’s marketing department on other major projects, including designing new departmental brochures.  While working with the marketing department, Ms. MacIntyre wrote, edited, and fact-checked marketing text for both website and paper publications.  She also acted as a student recruiter at multiple airshows, including Sun ’n Fun and Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture.

In January 2017, Ms. MacIntyre transitioned to a position with Samaritan Aviation located in Wewak, Papua New Guinea, where she acted as the field office manager.  In this role, she accompanied the chief pilot on multiple medical evacuation flights in an amphibious Cessna 206 and coordinated a project to secure a Papua New Guinea tail number registration for the organization’s seaplane.  Ms. MacIntyre also acted as a liaison between Samaritan Aviation and the Papua New Guinea Aviation Authority (CASA), the duties for which included interpreting the in-country aviation regulations and submitting all appropriate forms requested by CASA.  Additionally, she assisted U.S. pilots operating in Papua New Guinea with transferring their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certifications to local certifications.  Another project Ms. MacIntyre oversaw was the shipment of the organization’s retired seaplane back to the United States, which involved coordinating with local aviation authorities and maintaining compliance with international shipping regulations.  Her duties also included tracking all patient records and overseeing the in-country checking account and a major reorganization of the field office filing systems to implement new, sustainable systems.  Ms. MacIntyre assisted with organizing multiple vaccination events in various remote villages within the country, including organizing and logging vaccines for more than 200 children at each event.
