Mr. Hughes has nearly 20 years of experience in the design, development, and delivery of aviation-related training materials using a variety of media. His projects include classroom training, print materials, instructional video and audio, synchronous and asynchronous web-based training, and blended solutions that employ a variety of strategies. His work frequently requires working with subject matter experts and groups from within organizations to ensure training products are relevant and appropriate for their intended audience.
Mr. Hughes managed the development of many courses for the Federal Aviation Administration Flight Standards Service, including 8 hours of computer-based training for certification of an Approved Maintenance Organization under a Bilateral Maintenance Agreement. Mr. Hughes also managed the development of a 4-day course that prepared FAA inspectors to implement the FAA’s Advanced Qualification Program for commercial airline pilots. In addition, he managed the development and delivery of training for the Safety Performance Analysis System, one of the largest training efforts undertaken by the Flight Standards Service.
In addition to his work with the Flight Standards Service, Mr. Hughes developed training for many other segments of the aviation community. He managed the design and development of Suspected Unapproved Parts, a course that involved collaboration with the FAA, the Inspector Generals Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and others.Ms. Bazaral has provided support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on regulatory projects, including researching and drafting notices of proposed rulemaking (NPRM), final rules, summaries of and responses to comments to NPRMs, advisory circulars, and FAA orders.
